Over the past 10 years or so, we have worked closely with the Resevoir Cogs cycle club https://www.reservoircogs.ie/ , and have marshalled several of their very successful, Reservoir Dog Sportive events, it has been great to be involved. Every year after the event Resevoir Cogs donate all the profits from the event to local voluntary bodies and they have raised in excess of €100,000 to support a huge amount of the local voluntary bodies, who could not continue to exist without this amazing support. A fantastic achievement. The event moved to a sustainable and environmentally friendly version in 2019. All support vehicles on the event were electric and sponsored by Nissan Ireland. Biodegradable & Compostable Cups were used for all teas/coffees which were then collected and broken down for composting after the event, in our local composting heaps. No plastic water bottles were used during the event, instead water was provided from large pre-filled tankers to minimise waste and reduce plastic bottle usage by 100%. All waste from the event was segregated and recycled where possible, or taken to compost, with landfill the last resort. Thankfully due to the greening of the event, there was minimal waste and indeed minimal recycling required at the end of the event. Any leftover food non-perishable food stuffs were donated locally. Participants were encouraged to leave no trace on the event route. Thank you very much!!!

With the fantastic support of Resevoir Cogs Cycle Club and John Kelly Motors, we were recently in a position to add to our list of equipment and purchase an amazing van. Thank you also to Ian from Just Print for the lovely livery too. This will be a game changer for us and make transporting all our equipment so much easier.
