Thanks to Paul B from Blessington Tidy Towns, who was instrumental with this micro project, several businesses have litter packs now, including Hi Vis, Gloves, bags, and pickers and should any one wish to do a quick litter pick in the area all they need to is call into the businesses participating and complete the job. Some of the supporting businesses are offering free coffees / hot chocolates and haircuts while the launch period is on. Keep an eye around Blessington for the posters, in businesses supporting this project.

How Does A #2minutestreetclean Help the Environment Locally
- Reduces Litter: The primary goal is to significantly reduce litter and its harmful effects:
- Prevents litter from entering waterways and oceans
- Protects wildlife from injury or ingestion of plastics/trash
- Creates cleaner, more aesthetically pleasing neighborhoods
- Community involvement: Lowers the barrier to entry for litter cleanup. Anyone walking by can easily grab supplies and take positive action. This promotes a sense of collective responsibility for the local environment.
