Our volunteers have been working for years on a garden area by the Mens Shed and Troopers Field, where we have over the years planted a huge amount of pollinators and all watered from the water we collect in our rain water harvesting barrels. We have also added a herb garden planter box for the community recently this year, and use our own compost in this area too. Wicklow County Council added a chess bench too and an outdoor gym. Great work being done for our friends the native wild bees and the community at large.

Thanks very much to https://www.birchandfern.ie/ for arranging this Community Herb “Garden” planter box at the Mens Shed “Garden”. It’s a great addition to the community and is now full of parsley sage rosemary and thyme, as the great song goes.
