October 2024 Forty community groups and services came together in St Kevin’s Hall, Blessington recently, for the first of the Connecting Communities Roadshows.
There was lots of information and over 30 stands from organisations that support community groups and volunteers as well as the community groups themselves.
People had the opportunity to learn CPR thanks to the local First Responders team. Workshops were run during the event on how a bystander can support targets of discrimination and harassment and help prevent future incidents, as well as learning about the causes and effects of climate change and how people can take simple steps to combat it and Blessington Tidy Towns were delighted to be involved.
