December 2024 The Blessington Community Park, was officially opened on December 19th, just in time for Christmas. Thanks to Cairn Homes and Wicklow County Council who have worked in the background to make this date. The new park is a much welcome facility for the local community, with a playground, a walkway into Glending, shorter walks, seating areas, tennis courts, a bowling area, and a playing surface. As a member of different local community groups through the years this is a project many of us have been tracking, pushing and keeping on the agenda since long ago. It’s great to see it now being delivered, and officially opened. We can now look forward to phase2 and the opportunities that can bring for the local community.
